"Hey Jim – I did get your voice mail and sorry for taking a little time to get back to you…pretty busy here at the winery at the moment. Nevertheless, we took the boat out two weekends ago. It’s running great and the leak seams to be fixed. The bilge didn’t come on and their were maybe three drips of water when I pulled the plug. For the time being, I think we’re going to hold on to the boat until next spring. I’m sure we’ll take it out a few more times before the end of the year. "Hey Jimmy, thanks so much for the great dry rot repair and out drive rebuild on my 1988 Ski Sanger. I came to you when I first purchased the boat from Craig’s List and you showed me what dry rot problems my new boat had but you did it in a way that was honest and kind. I trusted you because of the way you explained the needed repairs. Other boat repair shops tried scare tactics and said things like: “I wouldn’t put that thing in the water the way it is. Your whole transom is about to fall off” and other real exciting news to a new boat owner. You on the other hand, after a thorough inspection, told me that I could get through the summer and then gave me a quote that was hundreds of dollars less than two other bids and was in my price range, (the previous owner denied any dry rot and I ended up threatening to take him to court which caused him to give me some of the purchase price back). I took your advice and enjoyed it over that summer and then brought it to you. You pulled out my motor and out drive, tore out my old transom and fit a new one in with new stringers where my motor mounts and rebuilt my out drive. You took your time and did all the repairs right the first time. I’ve enjoyed the boat for 4 seasons now with no problems. The out drive is quiet and goes in and out of gear perfectly. Because of your attention to detail, I have sent my son-in-law and his Malibu skier to you as well as numerous other boat owner friends and they all have been extremely pleased with the work you have done.
